Nieuwe EIT Health programma's!

Er zijn een aantal nieuwe EIT Health programma's die wellicht interessant zijn voor jou als ondernemer! In dit artikel vind je een korte omschrijving van verschillende programma's binnen het Business Creation program waarvoor jij je kan aanmelden. Launch your startup!

Medtech Bootcamp

• Expert and mentors will help you understand and refine your project, business and financial plan.
• Take a closer look at the market and your competition, better understand medical device regulations and perfect your pitch to investors to give you the best chance of success.
• For entrepreneurs, innovators, start-ups or SMEs that focus on MedTech or Digital Health with TRL 2-4 and a team of at least 2 people.
• There is a commitment fee of €350 once accepted in the programme.
• Application deadline is 31 May 2023.

Patient Innovation Bootcamp

• Supports the development and launch of innovative solutions created by people directly affected by health conditions.
• Mentoring and training in Lisbon, medical and technology validation in Barcelona, implementation and dissemination in Copenhagen, and online training regarding business model design in between.
• Travel and accommodation costs are supported by the programme for selected start-ups.
• Teams must include at least one patient and/or informal caregiver who have developed an innovative solution to deal with a limitation related to the personal health condition that they face.

Regulatory Pathways Bootcamp

• upports early-stage start-ups to ease their entry into market.
• 10-week online programme you will understand the highly regulated pathway within the European healthcare system and identify potential pathways to reimbursement.
• For entrepreneurs, innovators, start-ups or SMEs that focus on MedTech or Digital Health with TRL 2-4 and a team of at least 2 people.
• There is a commitment fee of €350 once accepted in the programme.

ULabs

• Helps you organise and execute a validation study for your start-up’s innovation.
• Our User Validation labs include living labs, accelerators, hospitals and innovation centres that can help you get access to and collect feedback from your future end users.
• You will be able to test your product or service with patients, clinicians and medical staff in Europe.
•  For products or services in the development phase but not yet commercialised.
• There is a fee for start-ups of €3000 to participate in this programme.
• Application deadline is 2 May 2023.

Wildcard

• Pairs early-stage start-ups with the resources they need to validate their problem-solution, achieve product-market fit, and secure investment opportunities.
• Open to start-up teams who are not afraid to take risks to develop an innovative solution for a specific health challenge.
• Guidance and support from experts and investors help the teams to take on the challenge and bring innovative products and services to the healthcare industry.
• Accelerate children-centric innovations that make real impact in children’s lives, with a focus on innovations that address challenges in early life, chronic conditions and rare diseases, and acute disease management.
• Applications open to teams of entrepreneurs, start-ups or SMEs with a suitable solution of TRL3-6.
• Application deadline is 2 May 2023.

Grow your business!

Catapult

•   A unique competition and training programme that showcases life sciences and health tech start-ups to leading experts and investors across Europe.
• Start-ups receive intensive training to build credibility and visibility through pan-European exposure.
• Finalists pitch at the Bits & Pretzels HealthTech event as they go head-to-head for cash and industry prizes, and the opportunity to be displayed on the New York Nasdaq Tower.
• Open to all start-ups and spin-offs that are micro/small enterprises (less than 50 employees) working in life sciences or health tech and are looking for seed or series A funding of at least €500k.
• Self-valued at €1M+ and received at least €500K in public or private funding or generated €500k in revenue last year.
• EIT Health has the right to invest in the Catapult Finalists.

Brigehead

• Matches start-ups with incubators and accelerators – our Catalysers - in a new European market.
• Catalysers help the start-up to access local networks, access infrastructure and understand local regulatory systems.
• Qualified companies must already be selling their medtech, biotech or digital health product/service in at least one market and be able to launch in new market(s)
• Participating companies will pay a 6% success fee based on revenues in the new market (capped and timebound).

Mentoring and Coaching Network

• We work with more than 200 healthcare industry experts who can provide advice towards meeting your next milestones.
• Mentors include academics, IP/regulatory experts and venture capitalists.
• To apply you must be developing a healthcare product or looking to scale-up and expand into new markets.
• Selected applicants will receive a voucher (at least €500) that they can use to compensate the mentor (rates vary).
• Applications can be submitted at any time.
