Kiempunt new online platform for innovators in Limburg agrofood

Kiempunt, the online breeding ground for and by innovators in the Limburg agrofood, has been launched! The agricultural industry in Limburg must continue to innovate to maintain a leading position. The Province of Limburg recently released funds for a three-year, sector-strengthening program for agrofood in Limburg, which LIOF is implementing. Now the sector is receiving support with an online platform called Kiempunt.

Through knowledge and connection, Kiempunt will strengthen the Limburg agrofood sector. Kiempunt offers a platform for inspiring and innovative examples. There is also a knowledge base where you can find in-depth information on relevant topics. News and relevant events provide up-to-date information. An online community will soon be rolled out where players in the sector can find each other by combining supply and demand.

Within Kiempunt there will be attention for various themes such as future farming, circular, labor market and education, short chains, consumer and product development, safe and healthy food and climate and energy. The first two months will focus on the theme of future farming.

The platform also builds a bridge to physical meetings and various support trajectories of the Province of Limburg, LIOF and other partners. Behind this network are organizations such as LLTB, LAJK, Rabobank, Brightlands Campus Greenport Venlo, Maastricht University, HAS University of Applied Sciences, Fontys and Citaverde College.
