Snacks - Snack manufacturer Van Geloven will open its new factory hall in Maastricht on 8 October. The expansion is necessary in order to meet the growing demand for snacks in the Benelux and to be able to supply parent company McCain Foods with innovative cheese snacks for its out-of-home customers such as the well-known international fast food chains.
In addition to the growth in the regular assortment, the snack manufacturer's factory in Maastricht is also primarily concerned with the vegetarian assortment. Every day more than one million croquettes, frikandells, bitterballen, tasty rolls, chicken products and bami and nasi snacks roll off the conveyor belt in Maastricht.
It is the first time that a vegetarian range has been expanded.
As of October 8, the high speed lines in the new factory hall will produce three times as many, predominantly cheese snacks, the company announced. With the opening of the new factory, Van Geloven is not only creating more capacity and room for innovation, but also 100 new jobs on top of the current workforce of around 400.
Van Geloven will be able to offer its customers the best possible service in the field of cheese snacks.
