"An important development within the sustainability of inland ports is the realization of hydrogen infrastructure."
Delegate van Gaans-Gijbels:
"Limburg is centrally located in a network of waterways. From Limburg, ships can travel to the seaports via the Maas and Albert Canal. The inland ports on this route are very important for the supply and removal of goods from companies. Almost all ports are expanding and becoming more sustainable. An important development within that sustainability is the realization of the hydrogen infrastructure. With Limburg's participation in RH2INE, we are putting even more effort into this."
Delegate Baljeu:
"With RH2INE, we are working on scaling up hydrogen in inland navigation. Limburg is very active when it comes to making inland navigation more sustainable. Limburg's involvement in the RH2INE program is therefore an important impetus for the application of hydrogen in inland navigation and transport. The connection with Blueports Limburg and the Rhombus inland port project is very welcome in this regard."
