Thursday, June 27, a meeting of RVS-LB took place at Kasteel Eyckholt in Roosteren, during which tasting, experiencing and meeting each other was central. After a hospitable reception with Limburg regional products delicacies, chairman of the day Jules Coenen introduced the meeting.
"The transition is a movement that is about circularity. It is only good if it affects the economy, improves the landscape, so too does the future perspective and also affects citizen involvement. The essence is about shortening and valorizing demand-driven chains, future prospects for (regenerative) agriculture, strengthening the power of the landscape and doing so from a feasible socio-economic perspective. And then we are talking about the long term. The momentum in the current process is palpable and if we look at the growth process within RVS-LB, we see that we are on track. Indeed, we currently have more than 400 participants and more than 26 signed contracts. And not unimportantly: incredibly tasty products from Limburg soil ..."

RVS-LB puts Limburg wine region on the map
Limburg White Meadow
RVS-LB is putting the Limburg wine region on the map with its own regional wine.
During the meeting on June 27, RVS-LB introduced the pride of Limburg: a blend of different white grape varieties: 'Limburg White Meadow'. The RVS-LB wine is a Limburg blend of Auxerrois, Müller Thurgau, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Johanniter, Riesling, Souvignier Gris, Solaris and Muscaris produced exclusively for RVS-LB by winemakers Ruud Verstegen (Overst Voerendaal) and Stan Beurskens (Sint Martinus). The taste is surprising and pure, nice and fresh and above all very nice Limburgs.
Ruud Verstegen and Stan Beurskens:
"Through this unique initiative we want to offer a stage to growers and farmers to (partially) switch to wine growing. The hills of Limburg are a beautiful and attractive setting for viticulture. So it is a fact: viticulture is becoming more and more attractive in our region.
We are proud that the attendees tasted this blend on June 27. It certainly tastes like more.
From July 1, the wine will be for sale to the on-trade via the website www.rvslb.nl or to consumers via the Limburg tourist information offices.
