A growing movement toward Limburg!
On January 18 last, the press conference took place regarding theDISSOLUTION OF THE NEW LIMBURG STREAM PRODUCTS CERTIFICATE within the beautiful vaults of Eyckholt Castle in Roosteren. This is the hallmark for Limburg regional products, which are made (artisanally) from the regional harvest at a location in our province. The Regional Food System is supported by Rabobank, Visit Zuid-Limburg, Province of Limburg and the LLTB!
The Regional Food System South Limburg (RVS-ZL) has been experiencing significant growth since its inception two years ago. In 2024, RVS-ZL is setting a determined course and making a growing provincial movement. Regional Food System Limburg (RVS-LB) is a reality. This expansion is the result of collective, integral cooperation and effort in the areas of sustainable agriculture, landscape and environment, tourism and economy.
The Regional Food System boosts local and regional entrepreneurship and connects people in common pride. It is a transparent partnership of links from the regional food chain, government, tourism and education and consists of participants, partners and ambassadors. The initiative aims to market healthy, nutritious homegrown products and make them accessible to everyone in the region. Sustainability, local production and community-based initiatives that strengthen the connection between producers, processors, consumers and the environment are of great value, and it offers consumers the opportunity to enjoy delicious, high-quality regional products with their own story.
