Central Limburg employers can offer employees with an employment limitation free training through LimburgLeert.nl. Specifically, it involves language and employee skills, digital skills and a basic Positive Health module. Initially, there is room for 100 pathways.

In the Jobs Agreement, the government and employers agreed to make a commitment to create 100,000 additional jobs for people with labor disabilities through 2026. By the end of 2022, just under 81,000 of these had been realized. Limburg employers have also hired many people with labor disabilities. To keep them permanently employed, it is important that employers invest in the development of these employees. On the initiative of the Limburg Employers' Association (LWV), Gilde Bedrijfsopleidingen and the public partners in the Central Limburg labor market region, this can now be offered free of charge thanks to a subsidy from the Regional Work Company.

Responding to needs

.

Work is changing faster and faster as a result of various developments. A survey of companies shows that there is a particular need for training in digital skills and language and employee skills. It is precisely these competencies that help people to function well in the workplace. That is why courses in this area have been chosen.

Employers will find the complete training offer on LimburgLeert.nl under the 'for employers' button. A similar pilot is also underway or about to start in South and North Limburg.

How to use this

Do you have employees from the target group register in your employ or working for you via a secondment? Then you can empower these employees. You can find the offer on LimburgLeert.nl, but you can also discuss it with one of your contacts at UWV, Werkgeversservicepunt Roermond Oost, Werk.kom, Gilde Bedrijfsopleidingen or LWV.
