This week marked the finals of The Limburg Circular Innovation Summit 2023! An initiative of the Limburg Employers Association (LWV), in cooperation with the Province of Limburg, Keyport, ESZL and Rabobank. The aim of the summit is to show what Region Limburg has to offer in the field of circular innovations and to take these circular innovations a step further.
The six best companies competed against each other to win the prize. On Wednesday, Feb. 8, they all got to give a pitch with only one goal: to become the company with the best innovation in the circular field. Solarge took the jury prize and the audience unanimously chose Greenholds to walk away with the win.
Solarge
Solarge won with the development of lightweight circular solar panels, all Dutch-made. The panels have a smaller footprint than any other made in the world AND they are fully circular. All parts are reused at the end of their life to make new panels. Because of this innovation, Solarge won the jury prize of no less than €3,000.
Greenholds
Greenholds won the €1,000 public prize with developing recyclable climbing handles. These climbing handles are made from industrial waste (polyamide) and are as much as 100% recyclable. At the end of their lifespan, the grips are returned to raw materials for reuse.
