DAYDAY

People like to experience a company before deciding on a job or internship, according to research. Therefore, join #dagjemeedraaien. This unique Limburg initiative invites people to take a look behind the scenes with a short video. You also raise your profile as an employer.

'Do you dream of a challenging job with fun colleagues, legendary team outings, shiny career paths and the very best coffee? Join us, join the fun!' Limburg employers have noticed that this kind of rhetorical vacancy text no longer attracts people. From arbeidsmarktplaats.eu - the successful platform set up to help VDL Nedcar employees who had been laid off find new jobs - they came up with the idea for a new way of recruitment: #dagjemeedraaien.

Getting to know each other

.

The idea behind the concept is simple: the best matches occur when employers and job seekers experience each other in practice. By letting people walk along, they see what a job entails, what the atmosphere at a company is like, how people interact with each other. Conversely, as an employer you get to know the candidate. Is he curious, is he eager to learn? Does he fit in with you?

The honest story

.

Meaning. But how do you reach interested people? That is done through a short video. In it, you as an entrepreneur - or an employee - explain how things work in your company. The focus is on the honest story, so lesser aspects are also discussed. Think of working overtime, working in shifts or performing tasks that are not part of your job. You can also address any preconceptions about the industry. The video will be shared via the site and socials of arbeidsmarktplaats.eu and other networks. And of course through your own channels.

Also good for your image

.

A #daydreaming is also interesting to get students and pupils in secondary education interested in your company and the sector. Invite teachers and other interested parties; you don't necessarily have to organize it around a vacancy. By opening up, you put your company on people's minds. That way they become your ambassador.

Do you participate?

A #dayjemeedraaien is a low-threshold way to introduce people to your company and vice versa. Due to a subsidy, participation is now extra advantageous. Check jobmarketplace.eu for all the ins and outs. Some forty companies are already participating. The concept is still in development, you can also help think about how we can take it further. So take part!
