From Jan. 28, 2025, you can again apply for a AanZET subsidy to purchase a new zero-emission truck. In previous years the interest was so great that the subsidy pot was empty after only one or two days. Therefore, prepare now to be able to submit your application immediately. The Limburg logistics brokers will be happy to help you.
With the AanZET scheme you can apply for a subsidy for the purchase or financial lease of a new e-truck. There are also possibilities for operational leasing within AanZET. For this it is best to request information from your leasing company.
.Subsidy amount up to 115,200 euros
.The available budget is 35.3 million euros. Another opening with a budget of 30 million euros will follow on September 30, 2025. The grant amount depends on the vehicle category and type of business and is a maximum of 115,200 euros.
Allowed in zero-emission zones
The purchase of a zero-emission truck is smart, among other things, if you occasionally visit the center of Maastricht or Venlo. Maastricht and 13 other cities now have zero-emission zones; Venlo will have such a zone from 2027. As an entrepreneur, you may not simply enter the zero-emission zones with a delivery van or truck that runs on gasoline, (bio)diesel or LPG. If you use zero-emission transport (electric or hydrogen), you will simply remain welcome in the zones.
This is what you need for your grant application
.If you are interested in the grant, prepare now.
- For example, you'll need a non-final purchase or lease agreement. In the preliminary agreement you can have a clause included, for example: 'order is final after AanZET is granted'. Should your company not receive a subsidy, this clause allows you to cancel the agreement.
- You also need e-recognition of at least level 2+ to be able to apply for the grant. E-recognition is a secure login tool used by over 500 different service providers, such as municipalities, tax authorities and insurers. Learn more about e-recognition and the various providers.
- Do the SME test for the grant application to determine which category your company belongs to (small, medium, large).
