Demonstration Energy and Climate Innovation (DEI+) budget increased and open longer
The budget for the Demonstration Energy and Climate Innovation (DEI+) grant has been increased by €16 million to €74.6 million. The opening has been extended until January 10, 2023. More entrepreneurs will therefore have the opportunity to submit a good project proposal.
The Demonstration Energy and Climate Innovation (DEI+) scheme is for entrepreneurs who help reduce CO2 emissions at low cost in the Netherlands by 2030. This involves pilot and demonstration projects with the themes:
- energy efficiency;
- renewable energy production with spatial integration;
- energy system flexibility;
- local infrastructure, circular economy;
- CC(U)S (Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage);
- or other CO2 reduction measures;
With the DEI+, we contribute to the CO2 targets from the Climate Agreement. We also strengthen Dutch competitiveness. We thus ensure more employment and prosperity
Pilot and demonstration projects
In a pilot project, you test and improve and new technology in a pilot setup that characterizes practice. In a demonstration project, you invest in a production installation that will remain in use after the end of the grant project.
Continue to apply
The amount of applications received has already exceeded the increased budget. Please keep applying because we do not approve all applications. This will free up budget again.
