E-commerce, marketing & sales consulting

'I founded EcomVision to help companies with all kinds of online issues. Whether it's optimizing a web shop, increasing conversion rates, setting up a new web store or choosing the right platform. Especially on a strategic level, I help various companies with their e-commerce and sales challenges. Always customized.

This often includes digitization or automation of business processes. Nowadays more and more with the help of AI. I show what you can do with it and for which processes it is suitable. I also give workshops and training on AI. I think it is important to share a bit of knowledge in addition to my services. With nice examples I can inspire other entrepreneurs to do something with it as well.'

Why are you engaged in sustainable business?

'Ultimately, my services contribute to the sustainable employability of employees. I make sure they can do things that add real value. How can the work be done (even) smarter and faster? Because why waste time on boring, repetitive tasks if they can also be (partly) automated?'

"It scares me how many companies still do things by hand, when automation often pays for itself within weeks or months!"

Artificial Intelligence (AI)

The possibilities of AI are enormous. I want to help people start working much smarter. And also look beyond with ChatGPT, for example. By leveraging modern solutions and discovering how to do smarter business. Instead of constantly putting effort into work that takes a lot of time and produces little. I don't believe AI will completely take over the work of humans. But I do believe that those who use AI will take over the work of those who don't. Simply because they can work much more efficiently.

Regularly, I give presentations on AI to inspire others. In doing so, I also show how easy it actually is to use. Many people think you have to be very technical for it. It really isn't. It saves you a lot of time and gives good input. Often it comes up with things you hadn't even thought of yourself.'

What, in your opinion, is needed to accelerate the path to a sustainable society?

"The staff shortage is a big problem. There are hands too few. So, we will have to at some point. If you don't start digitizing your business, you will be overtaken by competitors who do.

With tools like ChatGPT, digitization is becoming more accessible. Some people are a bit hesitant because they see risks in it. Besides the benefits, I also show the dangers, so people know how to deal with them.'

What do you contribute to a more sustainable, smarter and/or healthier Limburg?

'I contribute to a smarter Limburg. The step many companies skip is to first take a hard look at the conversion rate. What does the money you put into marketing actually deliver? You have to turn those knobs first. To measure is to know.

In addition, it is important to map out the customer journey. This will give you much better insight into the behavior of your target group and what points for improvement are in your webshop or website.'

"Many companies have done something with online marketing, but often I hear that they stopped because it was not profitable. 9 times out of 10, this is because there was no (good) strategy in place."

Any tips for other businesses/entrepreneurs?

'Open yourself up to working smarter. Don't just look at the limitations of your software, look at what you can optimize and add. There are an awful lot of possibilities. There are also all kinds of schemes and tools that can help you get started. For example, in the form of subsidies. Gather information and find the right specialists.'
