In Circular Economy Limburg (CEL), eight partners* join forces to stimulate and strengthen the transition to circular entrepreneurship among Limburg SMEs. To this end, we have developed a program that is being rolled out among Limburg entrepreneurs. The core of this program is to increase the urgency among SMEs and offer concrete support for more sustainable entrepreneurship.
From tradition to transition
Many entrepreneurs currently lack the sense of urgency, despite ambitious government goals that commit to a fully circular economy by 2050. In addition, they often lack time and knowledge about the opportunities that circular business models offer.
Circular business
Circular business
Circular business is all about using resources more efficiently, using sustainably produced, renewable raw materials as much as possible, designing new products in a circular way and developing new, sustainable production methods. Circular business stands or falls with cooperation in the chain. This is where CEL's strength lies. By combining networks, expertise and initiatives, offering low-threshold knowledge and bringing companies in different chains together, new sustainable business and revenue models are created that boost Limburg's circular economy. We do this by organizing and facilitating inspiration sessions, workshops and network meetings. The goal is to share as many experiences as possible with and between entrepreneurs to maximize the opportunities that the circular economy offers.
Needs-based offerings
Needs-based offerings
In order to discover exactly what SME entrepreneurs need, the CEL partners also go out into the field to start the conversation. In individual discussions we will go deeper with you as an entrepreneur and address concrete questions: how do I go about this, how do I find partners, what financing is available? We then bring you into contact with relevant parties in your region, enabling you to make choices for further steps. In this way, CEL guides entrepreneurs through the range of information, financial advice and other tools available.
"The question is not whether SMEs should join the transition to a circular economy, but how."
