Harvest periods when agricultural machinery works the land at high speed and large widths of cut is dangerous for many young animals. This applies in particular to young birds. They often unintentionally end up between the machines. Farmers and hunters of the Voerendaal wildlife management unit have purchased 80 wildlife rescue devices with the assistance of the Province of Limburg. This wildlife rescuer is placed at the front of the machine and emits a high-frequency sound in pulses during mowing, which makes the animals flee in time.
