The European subsidy program OP Zuid makes a call for innovative projects, including within the agrofood. This call is for projects that contribute to strengthening the valorization capacity of SMEs in the agrofood sector and enter into cooperation with regional knowledge institutions, (large) companies and governments.
The Operational Programme South (OP South) is aimed at promoting innovation and the transition to a low-carbon economy for the provinces of Zeeland, North Brabant and Limburg. There is special attention for the agrofood top cluster. Projects within agrofood that qualify for the subsidy scheme are largely focused on experimental development and contribute to solving one or more of the following societal challenges:
- Health, demographics and well-being
- Food security, sustainable agriculture, marine and maritime research, and bioeconomy
- Safe, clean and efficient energy
- Smart, green and integrated transportation
- Climate action resource efficiency
- Inclusive, innovative and secure societies
Individual companies will receive up to €250,000 grant per project and partnerships can receive up to €750,000 grant per project. Submissions can be made up to and including November 30, 2018 at 5:00 p.m..
