Mushroom Study Club

Research

In 2020, the following 4 studies will be started:

- Alternative to formalin (vital soil)

- Biological control of mushroom fly and mosquito (green crop protection)

- Biological control of moles (vital plant)

- Reuse of mushroom compost (valorization of residual streams)

Excursions

In addition, there are plans to organize excursions to various companies at the Brightlands Campus Greenport Venlo. Through these excursions, the study group will be inspired and taken through the goals of the campus in the field of healthy food, future farming and bio-circular economy.

Bright 5

The Mushroom Study Club is part of the Bright 5 (2) project. This is a project in which five sectors initiate, implement and share crop-related innovation from the entrepreneurs themselves during five years. In addition to mushrooms, it involves blueberries, strawberries, asparagus and tree cultivation. Read here more about the activities and future plans of Bright 5 (2).
