The Netherlands Foundation for Innovation in Glasshouse Horticulture (SIGN) and the Bio Treat Center (BTC) are joining forces to develop applications for biomass from horticulture in the national Circular Horticulture program.
Sustainable future
In the program, the organizations will work together on a "Living Lab Circular Horticulture," where entrepreneurs develop new combinations with biomass. These applications will then be possible for horticulturalists and for entirely different sectors. With the cooperation between SIGN and BTC, possible applications will be more strongly linked to horticulture, enabling serious steps to be taken towards a sustainable future. The Dutch Agri Food Week in October will further stimulate inspiration from new market fields and parties.
Complementary to each other
The Circular Horticulture Program outlines a range of applications such as packaging, detergents, biostimulants, building materials and fertilizers. This collaboration links SIGN's strategic programming to BTC's entrepreneurial network and activities.
