Subscriptions for the Rabo Sustainable Innovation Award are open. With this, Rabobank wants to encourage companies to develop innovative solutions that make a difference both in society and within the sector.
The Rabo Sustainable Innovation Award 2019 will be awarded in the categories Food & Agri, Circular Economy and Climate and Vital Communities & Care. Registration is open until 31 May 2019. Winners will receive a cash sum of €20,000 for the further development of the innovation and will be warmly introduced to the Rabobank network. The basic principle is that the entrepreneur not only contributes to the growth of his or her own business, but also contributes to a social issue and a better world.
Category Food & Agri
In this category, the focus is on innovations for sustainable agriculture and food supply. Think of innovations aimed at:
- improving food production by using new technologies
- providing the growing world population with sufficient, safe and nutritious food
- reducing the burden on the environment and the surroundings
- implementing more transparent chains and sustainably efficient chain management
Category Circular Economy & Climate
In this category, the focus is on innovations for a sustainable economy with the goal of:
- to close cycles of raw materials or nutrients
- to reduce greenhouse gas emissions
- to reduce or make more sustainable energy and raw material consumption
- to form innovative chains together
They must be feasible and profitable innovations, in the final stages of development, and with societal impact. More info and practical examples>
