On March 1, the Province of Limburg announced the 2019 Opening Decision paragraph 2. This provincial opening decision states that subsidies will be opened for physical investments for innovation and modernization of agricultural enterprises.
Agricultural entrepreneurs can submit their subsidy applications to Gedeputeerden Staten from March 18, 2019 09:00 to April 30, 2019 17:00. Grant applications received after April 30, 5:00 p.m. will be rejected.
Criteria for grant application
The grants are provided to farmers and groups of farmers in which applications meet a number of conditions and pre-set themes and criteria. The maximum grant per application is set at €250,000.00 and a minimum of €20,000.00. Please read the opening decision (article 4 and 5) for the exact themes and criteria.
Important transition
The agriculture and horticulture sector is in an important transition phase. Much is technically possible and technical innovations are going further and faster. With this subsidy the province gives an impulse to the overall sustainability of the sector and the competitive position of the agricultural sector in Limburg. Entrepreneurs in the agricultural sector are challenged to choose an investment that offers added value for the development and competitiveness of their business and a more sustainable agriculture and horticulture.
