The Top Sectors Agri&Food and Horticulture & Starting Materials are jointly opening a call for PPP projects that can start in 2020 within the theme Agriculture, Water and Food. This call is intended for research projects for which companies submit a proposal together with recognized research organizations. The available public budget is approximately €25 million in 2020. In a PPP project, private parties in principle contribute for at least 50%. Projects can be submitted in the period April 15 to May 15, 2019.
Theme Agriculture Water and Food
In a PPP project one or more knowledge and innovation tasks must be answered that fit within the theme 'Agriculture, Water, Food' of the new mission-driven top sector policy. The Netherlands has enormous knowledge in this area and is a leader in many fields. To strengthen this position and meet the challenges in areas such as food production, climate change and water quality, it is important to invest in innovation. With this call both Top Sectors want to stimulate innovation in these areas. Within the call priority has been given to projects that are implemented in cooperation with regions.
After receiving advice, applicants will have until August 15 to develop the project idea into a proposal. The result of the award will be announced to the submitters after October 15.

This call anticipates the development of the new Knowledge and Innovation Agenda for the theme of Agriculture, Water and Food. IPO is involved in this elaboration as a regional member of the coordination team with the TKI's and departmental representatives.
