Priva and Innoveins will collaborate on an innovation cluster for data applications and robotic cultivation applications in soft fruit and greenhouse farming. This co-creation will take shape at the Brightlands Campus Greenport Venlo.

Priva is a high-tech company that develops hardware and software in the field of climate control, energy saving and optimal reuse of water. The organization is active in 13 countries in horticulture, indoor and city farming and utility buildings.
Innoveins is an entrepreneurial initiative of Botany, Blue Engineering and Bluehub, seeking innovation in the field of plant and technology.

From big data to concrete application

Through the collaboration between Priva and Innoveins, it is expected that the large amounts of data in agrofood can be used more effectively and therefore lead to concrete applications faster.

Social innovation

Pim Deuling, one of the initiators of Innoveins, indicates the importance of social innovation within this process: "Innovation is often thought of as research and development, but this is only one part. The acquisition, integration and application of new knowledge through collaboration is often underestimated. It is precisely this that is an indispensable link in the innovation process."
