The Stichting Versterking Tuinbouwcluster Greenport Venlo (SVTGV), founded in 2019, launched a new website this week. Here, producers active in food horticulture in Greenport Venlo can submit a project application for their innovative plans. The goal: a healthy, sustainable, strong and innovative horticultural sector in Greenport Venlo.
About the SVTGV
The SVTGV came into being after a merger of the boards of the Asparagus Funds Foundation (SAF, founded in 1994) and the Foundation for the Support of the North Limburg Living Lab (STOP, founded in 1990). The merger is the result of the desire to modernize in order to make the available funds of both foundations more flexible.
The SVTGV focuses its support on four areas:
- sustainable production, cultivation and business operations
- management and entrepreneurship
- reinforcing the market position and logistics
- promoting innovation and knowledge within the horticultural sector
For whom
In addition to producers in the food horticulture sector in Greenport Venlo, producers in the ornamental horticulture and/or food horticulture sector in neighboring areas are not excluded. Joint ventures of horticultural producers, breeders, propagators and/or organizations focused on the horticultural sector in general are eligible for applications.
