Since this week, in addition to the already open subsidy scheme OP Zuid 1B2, now also MIT Zuid R&D Cooperation has reopened. To stimulate the SMEs in the south of the Netherlands to innovate, a subsidy of up to €350,000 per project in the top sectors, of which agrofood is one, can be applied for. This scheme is intended for partnerships of at least two entrepreneurs.

MIT South is a collection of three financial instruments financed by the provinces of Limburg, Noord-Brabant and Zeeland, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Change for the top sectors (including agrofood) and MKB Nederland. These instruments are aimed at stimulating innovation among SMEs and are three consecutive projects of which the last two, feasibility projects (OP Zuid 1B2) and performing R&D cooperation, are currently open. Both schemes are open for application until September 6, 2018.
