Joint cultivation research 'Bright 5' receives 475,000 euro grant

The Province of Limburg is subsidizing Compas Agro with up to € 475,000 for the 'Bright 5' project. On behalf of the Venlo Region, € 100,000 of this will be contributed.

Bright 5 is a unique collaboration between growers, businesses, education and government. It brings together more than 180 entrepreneurs and creates crossovers within five sectors in the field of research and innovations in green crop protection, vital soil, big data, vital plants, residual flows and crop-related ingredients. The cultivation research is conducted at and in cooperation with the Brightlands Campus Greenport Venlo. The knowledge will benefit entrepreneurs in the region. The five sectors represented are: blueberries, strawberries, asparagus, mushrooms and tree cultivation. More sectors may join in the future.
