Fruit growing and Limburg are inextricably linked. NFO, LLTB, Fruitveiling Zuid-Limburg and the Province of Limburg have therefore decided to work together for a future-proof sector. At the beginning of this year, these four parties concluded a declaration of intent 'Vital Fruit Growers in Limburg'. The first phase, in which fruit growers from the entire province of Limburg will be given the opportunity to follow an independent and free (business) coaching programme, is now set to commence.

Listening ear

An entrepreneur must look further ahead than one year. Important questions arise: How do I keep my business vital? Can I respond to changing circumstances? How can I create added value? And somewhat more in the background perhaps: What place do I see for myself in the coming years? What influence does the business have on our family life? Continue or stop? How?

It is not always easy to answer those questions, however, for example when time is lacking or because the situation is complex. "An independent coach, who sits down with the fruit grower without any personal interest, can provide just that extra bit of support," say the organizations that took the initiative. "The goal of a coaching program is that you get a listening ear and can determine your future vision from your own strengths. Together with the coach you put things in order and make a roadmap."

Foundation Keukentafel

The coaches who are associated with the project are supervised by Foundation Keukentafel. This foundation focuses on independent coaching to agricultural companies, entrepreneurs or families, both on a business and personal level. The coaches work on a confidential basis and have no interest in the choices that the fruit growers make.

Fruit growers interested in the project can register with Leandra Schmitz before January 17 via LSchmitz@arvalis.nl. You will then be contacted by telephone at short notice for a further explanation or to schedule an introductory meeting. On this basis, agreements are made about a possible follow-up.
