Implementation program Vital Fruit Growing Limburg signed

Yesterday, the Province of Limburg, the Dutch Fruit Growers' Association NFP, LLTB and Fruit Auction South Limburg signed the Implementation Programme Vital Fruit Growing in Limburg.

The program facilitates in a practical approach to give the Limburg fruit growing sector a future and focuses mainly on innovation, knowledge development, entrepreneurial skills and business development of the Limburg Fruit Grower. During the implementation of the program, cooperation is sought with various knowledge and advisory institutions to develop new value-added strategies for Fruit Growers.

The last 5 years the fruit cultivation has suffered a lot of damage. The Implementation Program came about after the Taskforce Limburg Fruit Growing identified the measures needed to make the fruit growing sector in Limburg more resilient. With the start of this program, fruit growers are helped and supported, among others by a quartermaster and financially by the Province of Limburg.
