The Green Education Impact Prize is a prize for students and pupils in vmbo-green, mbo-green, higher green education and university green education. For each of the four categories, an amount of €2,500, - will be awarded to the group with the best project in the field of food, climate, and / or livability.

Podium for green initiatives

Students and students are already engaged in the social challenges of the green sector during their studies. The Green Education Impact Prize wants to be a podium for these great initiatives and projects.

All projects that in one way or another have an impact on food, climate, and / or quality of life can participate. Not only large, but also small projects, all initiatives that show how important our sector is can compete for the prize.

Conditions and registration

Registration is possible until November 15 through the registration form

Conditions:

  • A minimum of three students worked on the project and collaborated with one or more companies or social institutions
  • The project had an impact on a real-life issue or problem
  • The project led to a new solution in the field of food, climate or quality of life
  • The solution was really used in practice
  • The project was carried out in 2018 and/or 2019
  • Beneficiaries will be present at the award ceremony of the Impact Prize on 13 February 2020, during a special event for students at HAS University of Applied Sciences in Den Bosch
  • Chancellors are willing to collaborate on video recordings and provide additional visual material about the project that can be shown
  • Participants endorse the Regulations and Privacy Statement Impact Prize Green Education 2019

Assessment

The entries will be judged by a professional jury. This assesses the projects on the following aspects:

  • contribution to concrete solutions for business, social institution or society
  • the impact on food, climate, and / or quality of life
  • the degree of innovation, ie: has it led to truly new solutions and / or new collaboration between businesses, social institutions, schools, research and / or government
  • is the project transferable, ie suitable for multiple and / or larger scale application
  • visibility of the project in the media

André Kuipers

The prize will be awarded on 13 February, during a special event for students at the HAS University of Applied Sciences in Den Bosch. Astronaut André Kuipers will also be present. During the lecture tour students can ask him questions about his role as ambassador for the Earth and his involvement in the Sustainable Development Goals.
