I Am Bart's healthy snacks without junk

Oud skater Bart Veldkamp wants to conquer the world with a new snack that is full of vegetables, fruits and seeds. Without preservatives and added sugars. Soon he will open his new production line around the corner of Brightlands Campus Greenport Venlo.

Bart and his mother have been working on healthy food for years. "I believe in good nutrition. Natural ingredients, without added crap. While growing up and doing sports I came to a very simple conclusion: eating well is not difficult. The challenge lies with the responsible snacks, which are almost impossible to find on the shelves. But there are many products full of artificial flavors and preservatives: junk food. We had to be able to do better than that."

Startup with mother Veldkamp

In 2011, he founded the startup with his mother and developed the production process for a snack with only natural ingredients. "My plan was to outsource the production, but that turned out not to be possible. The only way not to make any concessions was to develop our own production process and line all by ourselves."

I Am Bart's

The snacks can be found on the shelves of organic supermarket Ekoplaza. I Am Bart's is a bite of zero percent junk and one hundred percent natural, intended for everyone. Nutrition bars, a sports line and a high performance line is the next step. "I want us to be available in 20 countries with our quirky product in two years. Everyone to healthy food, even when we snack."

The reason why Bart is moving his production to Venlo is because of the good network with food-oriented companies, training and research institutions. I Am Bart's is a perfect fit for this.
