What is the end of a year without review lists? Also at Kiempunt we look back on a great year full of reporting on innovation, collaborations and successes in the Limburg agrofood sector.

Figures

In 2019, over 180 articles on a variety of topics appeared on Kiempunt. And over 60 events, workshops and meetings were announced in the calendar. We are grateful to the 19,000 visitors who read about developments in agricultural education, innovations in technology, the production of safe, healthy food, short chains, sustainability and more in 2019.

Groups

Kiempunt is more than just messaging, however. It also brings industry entrepreneurs together in groups. Five groups were introduced in 2019 to share information, contacts and initiatives on specific topics. The groups are:

  • Short Chains
  • LOF
  • Distribution Network Limburg
  • Labor Market & Education
  • Digitalization, Precision Agriculture & Big Data

In the meantime, almost 100 people have joined one or more of these groups. To learn more or join, visit the membership page.

Most read

The most popular this year were the personal stories of the Limburg farmers and entrepreneurs. For example, the section '5 questions to' appeared several times in the top of the read articles. The Kiempunt cases were also popular among readers. For those who missed something, or want to read it again, we list the most read messages.

5 questions to

  • Erik Gipmans of Gipmans plants talks about innovating by trying above all;
  • Joep van de Bool of organic horticulture 'De Woag' tells how he tracks down the necessary technological adaptations;
  • Willem Voncken, arable farmer in Eys and president at LAJK, advises to innovate in your own way.
