Kom in de Kas facilitates work square for good personnel

There is a growing demand for good personnel in the sector. Kom in de Kas is the ideal opportunity to introduce people to working in the sector. That is why a work square was set up for the first time. The organization is a collaboration between Kasgroeit, LLTB, Citaverde College, UWV, Werkgeversservicepunt Noord-Limburg and the Province of Limburg. During the event visitors could see what working in greenhouse horticulture is really like. At the workplace more explanation was given and available jobs were shown in images through, for example, appealing clips.

During the opening, Commissioner Hubert Mackus spoke about the workplace: "As the Province, we support the collaboration with Kasgroeit, LLTB, Citaverde College, Werkgeversservicepunt Noord-Limburg and UWV to make use of this day and to get people enthusiastic about the sector. Anyone interested in working in horticulture can take a look at the work square. Together we can grow this beautiful sector for Limburg."

This past weekend, Kom in de Kas took place for the 42^th time in the municipalities of Peel en Maas and Deurne. With as many as 210,000 visitors, there was great interest in the public event. This year's theme was "Worldly: Come into the greenhouse full of worldly wonders". All kinds of activities were organized, allowing young and old to experience how innovative the greenhouse horticulture sector is. The emphasis this year was on the international experience of products from the greenhouses.
