The international Marc Cornelissen Brightlands Award will be looking for a sustainability pioneer for the third time. Are you an entrepreneur or researcher with a sustainable dream? Do you fight with guts and perseverance to realize this dream? Then you have a chance to win this incentive prize that will be awarded on 20 January 2021.

Connect

The Marc Cornelissen Brightlands Award wants to help give promising projects a chance to make a difference. That could be in the fields of circular economy, digital innovation, nutrition and health, for example. It is important that participants do so in the spirit of Marc Cornelissen: with guts and perseverance, making connections across borders and with respect for the environment and our planet.

Community

The winner of the Marc Cornelissen Brightlands Award will receive 35,000 euros to invest in his or her sustainable project. But the other participants also deserve help and attention. President Maria van der Hoeven explains: "We want to build a community of sustainability pioneers. Together with the candidates who are currently participating or have participated before. Together with entrepreneurs and researchers from Brightlands and with the partners of the award. This will manifest itself, among other things, in a special event prior to the presentation of the award that will focus on the projects of all candidates."

Do you want to participate

Do you want to compete for this important award? You can apply until November 15 of this year via this website. A selection of around ten candidates will be allowed to pitch to the jury on 8 December 2020, after which the finalists will be announced. The ceremony declaring the winner will take place on January 20, 2021.
