KOAT in Someren is being acquired by Eindhoven-based camera inspection and robotics company One of A Kind Technologies. "Together we can deliver complete systems," says commercial director Richard Vialle of One of A Kind Technologies. And they have already done so, namely with the SortiPack system. The acquisition also allows the use of KOAT's global sales network. "With that, we can accelerate our global sales. KOAT has 26 years of experience with that."

Additional and new systems

Initially, One of A Kind Technologies deployed camera inspection in the pharmaceutical sector. With the acquisition of KOAT and the previously established Crux Agrirobotics, the revenue will be 50/50. They are also developing a harvest robot for cucumbers.

KOAT is a specialist in transport lines. They make sure that vegetables end up in the right boxes and crates. The Eindhoven-based company One of A Kind Technologies is active in the classification, sorting and packaging of crops such as tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers.
