Coenraad Reinders, pig farmer at Landgoed Heerdeberg, Thijs Rompelberg, co-owner at Groenhof Agro and board member of LLTB and Frank van Eerd, initiator of the Bisschopsmolen have received a mention in the Food100, the list that lists the 100 most important change-makers in food now and in the future.
In October 2018, the independent professional jury announced the list from over 600 applications. From all candidates, the jury selected 50 changemakers of the future, younger than 30 years, as well as 50 gamechangers of today, older than 30 years.
Coenraad Reinders: "I feel honored to have been appointed Changemaker. I'm ambitious and stubborn, but I also realize that I still have a lot to learn. It's fantastic that at this young age I have the opportunity to be among authorities that have already managed to make a difference. That I can learn from them and if possible inspire even more people to be more conscious about food and nutrition."
Thijs Rompelberg: "Of course I like the appreciation for my efforts as a young farmer and manager by being mentioned in the Food100. I would like to contribute to a policy that offers farmers a future and encourages them to produce food in a more sustainable way. I also want to advocate for more appreciation in society for the work that farmers do."
Frank van Eerd: "Proud, elected for the second time as a gamechanger and food improver of the Netherlands!"
Food100 is a network of food changers. The network aims to connect food generations, inspire established leadership and provide opportunities for the new generation to shape the future with new initiatives.
