Never before has the secretariat of the Marc Cornelissen Brightlands Award received so many applications from talent wanting to compete for the award and the cash prize of 35,000 euros.
No less than 28 projects of sustainability pioneers were submitted to the jury. While their backgrounds and ideas vary greatly, the unifying common thread between all those entries is the passion to contribute to the circular transition to a world that is becoming more sustainable.
It was therefore no easy task for the jury to select six candidates from the list of 28 applications for the pitch round on 21 September at Brightlands Maastricht Health Campus. From these six candidates, three will be nominated. On October 19 (at Brightlands Smart Services Campus in Heerlen) it will be announced who will succeed Panos Kouris as the winner of the Marc Cornelissen Brightlands Award 2022.
