Upgrading of business park Pannenweg II Nederweert

The municipality of Nederweert is investing in its existing business parks from the Major Program for Economic Area Development. At Pannenweg II business park in Nederweert, the Park Management together with the entrepreneurs have drawn up an area plan for upgrading the business park. The cooperation agreement was recently signed between the municipality of Nederweert and the Park Management.

Entrepreneurs invest, municipality contributes

The area plan provides for a solid upgrading of the business park. "The plan contributes to the quality of stay, traffic safety and mutual encounters for all employees in the business park. The plan focuses on greening and strengthening the residential function at the business park by creating a safe walking route, adding planting and meeting places. By doing so, we will ensure a pleasant residential environment for the people who work at the Pannenweg II business park," said Alderman Franssen.

Several entrepreneurs based at the business park will contribute financially and adopt one of the meeting islands that will be realized adjacent to the walking route. Park management requested a municipal contribution of €85,000 in 2024. This was granted at the time, and it was agreed to enter into a cooperation agreement with each other.

Signing agreement

The cooperation agreement contains the mutual obligations. This agreement was signed by Mr. Wim Schilders, chairman of Park Management, and Alderman Jorik Franssen on Tuesday, March 11. Alderman Franssen: "Beautiful to experience how entrepreneurs are taking the lead in this. With the signing of the agreement, the Park Management together with entrepreneurs can energetically get to work on the implementation." In the cooperation agreement it was agreed that the upgrading of the Pannenweg II business park will be completed this year.
