This is according to research by economic geographer Gerlof Rienstra in collaboration with the Knowledge Alliance Dutch Business Parks Foundation. Rienstra analyzed the usage data of 3,217 business parks. Based on this, he established the "Paris Proof Ranking. In 2021, 522 companies met the Paris Proof standard. His research also shows that, as in previous years, logistics distribution sites score well in this list. These buildings occupy a relatively large amount of square footage and have low energy consumption. Also, such sites often have a lot of self-generated energy through solar panels on the roof.

Trade Port Noord is one of the business parks in Greenport Venlo. All the companies at Trade Port Noord have been built without gas, and almost all the roofs are fitted with solar panels. An average of 25% of the energy generated by these solar roofs is used by the companies themselves, and approximately 75% is supplied back to the grid.
