There is a transition underway to an economy in which sustainability is increasingly central. This development cannot be achieved without sustainable innovations. That's why LWV (Limburg Employers Association) and KVK are joining forces again: this time in the field of sustainability with the KVK-LWV Business Challenge.
We again offer you the opportunity to participate with your company with a challenge. For this edition we are looking for challenges that are related to the theme of sustainability, for example energy transition, circularity, biobased, packaging or water reduction. We are happy to help you find companies with the right solution. There are no costs associated with your participation.

Working together on innovative challenges
Every organization has innovation challenges. Challenges for which you can make good use of the knowledge, brainpower and canvas of other smart entrepreneurs. The Chamber of Commerce (KVK) wants to help entrepreneurs seize these opportunities and facilitate them wherever possible. This is why we launched the KVK Business Challenge: an open innovation platform to find and generate new business together.
The first edition of the KVK Business Challenge was organized a few years ago with the aim of accelerating innovation and enabling collaboration between large and small companies. These are collaborations between Dutch and foreign companies from various sectors. Thanks to past editions, more than 1,000 large and small entrepreneurs have been connected. From Limburg, companies such as Essity, Océ (now Canon), Regitel/Zuyderland Hospital, WML and EKK Eagle Simrax, among others, have previously brought in issues, with successful results as a result.
The 2nd Limburg edition of the KVK Business Challenge
After a successful first edition in cooperation with LWV, we now organize another Limburg edition of the KVK Business Challenge. Limburg companies with a challenge in the field of sustainability are brought into contact with innovative start-ups, scale-ups, independent entrepreneurs and SMEs from Limburg, the Netherlands, Europe and the rest of the world by the innovation platform. A special chance and opportunity for the sustainability, innovation and internationalization of your company! At the end of August 2022 the kick-off of the KVK-LWV Business Challenge edition will take place.

We are looking for your innovation issue!
Is your organization in the phase where sustainability plays an important role? And do you have little time or knowledge to solve your innovation problem? We are looking for Limburg companies with a challenge that want to work with other entrepreneurs on concrete and innovative solutions. Timeline
- 1 April 2022: start registration challenges
- 29 August 2022: start of the KVK-LWV Business Challenge
- 3 October 2022: closing online platform
- 5 October 2022: selection of parties with the best ideas/solutions
- 14 October 2022: meetings between challenge owners and selected companies
