Zorginnovatie.nl aims to accelerate innovations in health and welfare. Companies that have already worked out, tested and launched their innovation can often use a push to really make their venture a success. This is why the National Care Innovation Prize will be awarded on March 30, 2023; an award specifically for the most innovative company in the scale-up phase. The award ceremony will take place at the Health Valley Event.

Participants have a chance to:

• A cash prize worth €10,000 (jury prize) or €5,000 (audience prize);
• Finalists receive free entry and their own booth at the Health Valley Event;
• Professional guidance in the further development of your innovation;
• Access to the network of Zorginnovatie.nl.

Important dates:

From February 6 to March 3, 2023, the regional preliminary rounds will be held during the Smart Care Relay. The regional partners of Zorginnovatie.nl will select the most promising innovation from their region during the preliminaries. The nominees will advance to the finals on March 30, 2023.

Important dates at a glance: November 15, 2022: opening applications from noon; Jan. 4, 2023: closing applications at noon; Feb. 6 - March 3, 2023: regional preliminaries during the Smart Care Relay; March 20, 2023: voting round for public award opens on Zorginnovatie.nl; March 27, 2023: voting round for public award closes; March 30, 2023:National Healthcare Innovation Award 2023 ceremony at the Health Valley Event.

Professional jury and public jury

After the announcement of the finalists in early March, a professional jury will consider the nominees and assess them in terms of content. The members of the expert jury will be announced later. In addition, each finalist can campaign to win over as many public votes as possible. The innovation with the most votes (excluding the winner of the professional jury prize) will then win the public prize.
