Randwyck Campus

There are many plans for Randwyck. These plans of the municipality are in the 2022-2026 administrative agreement. In the coming years, the Brightlands Maastricht Health Campus must be able to continue to grow. The campus is a place where researchers, entrepreneurs and students work on innovations in health care, medicine and life sciences. Together they create products and services that improve public health.

This is a challenge we are not facing alone. We are doing this together with the MUMC+ (the academic hospital), Maastricht University, the Province, the MECC, other companies and residents. The campus must grow into a place where everyone enjoys coming together and where everyone can strengthen each other.

We also want Randwyck to be a pleasant place to live, work and spend your leisure time. For the current residents of Randwyck, for new residents and for employees of the many companies and organizations in this area.

Randwyck is, after all, very important to Maastricht. We call it the economic engine for the city. The MECC, the university hospital and the university are located in this area and in addition there are more than 100 companies active in the medical sector. In total, about 11,500 people work together at these companies and organizations. In addition, there are about 11,000 students. Moreover, the conferences, fairs and (business) events in MECC Maastricht attract thousands of visitors to the area every year.
