Climate technology company DYSECO optimizes the temperature, humidity and air purity of museums, archives and clean rooms. This is good for the indoor and outdoor climate. Because with the DYSECO solution, institutions save significantly on energy consumption, costs and CO2 emissions. Through the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), the company wants to continue this sustainable mission abroad.
It is quite a job to keep heritage items such as paintings and manuscripts in good condition. You have to create an appropriate indoor climate. And that often in monumental buildings that are poorly insulated. "We have a unique solution that allows you to save over 30% energy with existing climate systems," says co-owner Edgar Neuhaus.
Making an impact globally
.The world of museums, archives and clean rooms is international. Hence, DYSECO is eager to make moves abroad to make sustainable impact globally. How can the company be successful in this? Herman Hartgers, a consultant at EEN, helps.
Business in the US
"Herman helped us with several initiatives," says business developer Frank Bakker. "He had a country information report sent from RFO on countries we are interested in. That gave us a lot of insights. For example, about the United States, where he also helped us participate in events about doing business in that country."
Profiling and matchmaking
DYSECO is in regular contact with the ONE advisor. "We now have an action list that we go through very concretely with each other," says Bakker. "Thanks to Herman's broad scope, there's all kinds of things on there. For example, we have set up a profile of our company on the EEN network. This allows other organizations to find us. We also had a conversation with Octrooicentrum Nederland about our intellectual property. And to find potential partners in their database."
Exploring subsidy schemes
An interesting subsidy schemes also pass the review. For example, DYSECO and Hartgers conducted a promising quick scan for the DHI subsidy scheme. This is for funding for a demonstration project, feasibility study or investment preparation project abroad. "Another good tip was sustainability vouchers," says Bakker. "With these, institutions get partial reimbursement for a sustainable investment in our solutions."
Concrete, practical and decisive
."EEN advisor Hartgers helps us grow internationally and take our network further," says Neuhaus. "We are still too small to figure out all the rules and regulations for abroad ourselves. With him we have a contact who gives us access to the entire RVO network. Concrete, practical and decisive."
