The National Growth Fund has already found great destinations within the Health & Care theme in the first three rounds; there are still many millions available for promising projects. Biotech Booster, RegMed XB and Oncode Accelerator are still busy scouting.
So if you still have a good idea to make an impact in your drawer, now is the time to apply. They are specifically looking for discoveries that can accelerate cancer therapy development; a biotech product, process or new diagnostic; or an innovation that can take regenerative medicine another step forward. "I think a lot of researchers still have good ideas in the drawer that can be converted into a product with impact for society," states Bernard Mulder, CEO of RegMed XB. "And I understand that quite well. First of all, 'publishing' is often a main goal for a researcher. And second, not every researcher wants to become an entrepreneur. But I think it's a shame if nothing is done with an idea in regenerative medicine, especially if that idea can be taken a step further. There are a lot of techniques that are currently still in their infancy, but which are of great value to us."
