MOOI: Nuclear power regulation

From this fall, companies and knowledge institutions in the Netherlands can apply for a subsidy through the scheme MOOI: Nuclear Energy. The grant is for research and development of innovative nuclear reactors, fuel cycle technology or radioactive waste storage. Pre-applications for the grant can be submitted from Sept. 15 to Oct. 1, 2025. Submission of a pre-application is required for submission of a final application. The total budget the MOOI scheme is 10 million euros with a maximum of 4 million euros per awarded project. The scheme falls under the Top Sector Energy's energy innovation grants and is funded by resources from the Multiyear Mission Driven Innovation Program Nuclear Energy (MMIP Nuclear) and the SMR program.
