On October 14, Minister Mona Keijzer of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Change and the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations visited the municipality of Weert. Here she spoke with representatives of the RegioDeal Midden-Limburg. During her visit, she underlined the great importance of strong relations with our German and Belgian neighbors and regional triple helix cooperation.
Together with 40 partners, SML - Samenwerking Midden-Limburg has worked to develop and award this RegioDeal Midden-Limburg. Keyport is an important partner in the development of the application and in the implementation of several projects included in the application. The RegioDeal Midden-Limburg focuses on three themes: Economy, labor market and education; Landscape and climate adaptation; and Liveability.
Currently, work is underway to establish the RegioDeal Bureau. This bureau, which will be based in Weert, will receive applications and help submitters develop them further. It is expected that the first decisions can be issued in the first quarter of 2025. There is no deadline for submitting applications or projects, as long as funding is available throughout the term.
