Maastricht UMC+ and Maastricht University have been appointed to coordinate the introduction of artificial intelligence in European healthcare. Their work focuses on improved medical imaging, secure cross-border data exchange and the creation of guidelines for responsible use of AI.
Maastricht UMC+ and Maastricht University have been designated as chief coordinating center for the application of artificial intelligence in European healthcare. This happens within the new EU program Compass-AI, which focuses on medical applications because they can quickly deliver tangible improvements.
