Are you researching or developing innovative circular products, processes or services? Or do you want to  research so that you can develop innovative circular products at a later stage? Then you may be able to get a grant from the Knowledge and Innovation Agenda - Circular Economy (KIA CE) scheme.

You can apply from July 5, 2022, 09:00 to November 15, 2022, 17:00.

In a circular economy, we use raw materials minimally. We therefore try to use materials and products for as long as possible. The products must be safe and the quality as high as possible.

Your circular product, service or process must have its first market application in the Netherlands by 2030 at the latest. In doing so, you collaborate with companies and/or research institutions. You are doing industrial research together or working on experimental development.

Background

This grant scheme comes from the Knowledge and Innovation Agenda Circular Economy. This agenda is part of the Implementation Program Circular Economy. The national government's goal with this is to reduce the demand for primary raw materials (extracted from nature) by 50% by 2030. A completely circular economy is the goal for 2050. In a circular economy, we deal smartly with raw materials and materials: maximum utilization and reuse. The implementation program and agenda are established in 2019.

The KIA-CE has 2 objectives:

  1. Maximize resource efficiency.
  2. Minimizing the damage to nature.
