Hessing Supervers first company with certificate Cooperation partner Fruit & Vegetable Brigade

Frank Hessing, CEO of Hessing SuperVers received the very first certificate as Cooperation Partner of the Fruit and Vegetable Brigade from the hands of Chairman Gert Mulder on Thursday, June 19. The company received this special recognition because of the structural donations and the social impact this has.

"Hessing Supervers more than meets all the criteria that the Fruit & Vegetable Brigade uses for permanent cooperation partners," said Gert Mulder. "Your structural contribution really means something to society. The donations are anchored in your company policy and you actively think about workable arrangements. The products supplied are of excellent quality and thus Hessing meets the criteria the Fruit & Vegetable Brigade uses for Cooperation Partners."

Everyone has access to healthy food

Modesty adorns Frank Hessing. Commenting on the presentation of the Certificate, he emphasized that although he is the face of the company, there is an entire team of 1,000 employees behind it, all making their contribution. The donations from Hessing SuperVers make it possible for the Food Banks in the Venlo region to plan ahead and make fresh fruits and vegetables, as an important part of the Five's Table, also available to those in food need.

Insight into social impact

As a regular cooperation partner, Hessing Supervers receives an annual social impact report as a first. This allows the company to show society what their social contribution is in clear figures. After Hessing, other companies that deliver structurally to the Fruit & Vegetable Brigade will also receive a certificate.

The Fruit and Vegetable Brigade and Voedselbanken Nederland hope that this recognition will inspire other companies in the sector to also cooperate in the fight against food waste and access to healthy food for everyone.
