Green Economy Limburg helps entrepreneurs with energy transition

The Green Economy Foundation Limburg helps SMEs tackle the energy transition. From basic package to integrated total solution. In the project Charter Energietransitie MKB you can find all the options. This project is (financially) supported by the province of Limburg and the municipalities in the Keyport region. Many entrepreneurs need advice and support in taking up concrete energy measures. What should I do, what will it cost, but above all, what will it give me in return? Both in terms of money, but certainly also in terms of profile and image in the market.

The Green Economy Foundation Limburg will help these entrepreneurs to get started in a smart and creditable way. At the moment there are twenty professional energy advisors ready. They can perform an energy scan and advise entrepreneurs about the right energy measures. They can carry out an energy scan and advise entrepreneurs on the right energy measures, probably with a subsidy and tax benefit, because this is another area in which we can unburden the entrepreneur. In addition, a special Energy Desk SME has been developed where entrepreneurs can go for legislation, (financial) instruments and other practical questions.

The program "Charter Energy Transition SME" has been developed to enable SMEs to take significant steps in the field of clean energy. CO2 reduction through reduced use of fossil fuels and increased use of renewable energy is the main objective. But also more conscious and economical use of energy in itself is an important goal, as well as smarter use of industrial heat and cold. Our goal is as simple as it is ambitious: to help at least 2500 SMEs in Limburg to become energy sustainable by the end of 2024. We will do this in two ways:

• by supporting companies individually;
• by taking collective energy measures on the basis of the following criteria
• by stimulating collective energy measures on business parks;

We work for all industries; retail, manufacturing, logistics, tourism, agriculture and business services. Customization is paramount. After all, every industry and every company has its own challenge. We therefore work together with dozens of network partners who all have knowledge and experience to contribute. From universities of applied sciences to branch organizations, from financial parties to government agencies, from regional to national. This has created a unique platform where, in principle, all knowledge is available to support the entrepreneur. The Foundation is independent and operates on a non-profit basis.
