Grab the chance to win the Maastricht Award and the public prize

Because of the pandemic and its consequences for entrepreneurs, no Maastricht Awards were presented in the past 2 years. This year, entrepreneurs can not only win an award but for the first time also a public award. On September 19, 2022 the award ceremony will take place in the City Hall of Maastricht.

Appreciation for entrepreneurs

With the Maastricht Awards, the City of Maastricht wants to show appreciation for entrepreneurs in the city and thus underline the importance of entrepreneurs for the city's economy.

Campaign launch

On May 11, Lou Nelissen, chairman of the jury, gave the green light for the campaign: entrepreneurs can register until June 26 or nominate each other for an award. This year there are awards to be won in the following categories:

• The Rabobank Made in Maastricht Award, aimed at the manufacturing industry
.
• The Hospitality Award, aimed at the hospitality industry
• The Business Take-off Award, aimed at young entrepreneurs < 35 years old who have started a successful business

New element: the public award

A new element this year is the public award: the Maastricht Award Pluim. Entrepreneurs who are nominated for an award by an expert jury have a chance to win this new prize. Entrepreneurs and residents of Maastricht can vote for the nominated company that makes the most impression.
