W2R Drone Projects will enter the Open Brains stage at 9 a.m. on Thursday, June 27. They are thus kicking off the innovation and brainstorming sessions for Keyport companies. W2R Drone Projects' session will take place at the Brightlands Campus Greenport Venlo, location Villa Flora in Venlo.
About W2R's pitch
W2R Drone Projects advises growers in the agri-food sector in optimizing their cultivation processes through advanced drone applications. Using visual (RGB), multispectral and thermal cameras/drone sensors, detailed data on crops and/or soil are collected. This data is analyzed by W2R Drone Projects with specialized software and discussed with the grower. This provides the grower with valuable insights. Thus W2R Drone Projects offers accurate crop and growth monitoring and supports growers with data-driven cultivation advice.
These recommendations enable growers to take targeted measures (earlier), such as specifically treating certain parts of their plots with water, growth nutrients and plant protection products. However, the spray systems in place are often generic and cannot be tailored to specific areas. This leads to unnecessary water and plant protection product use which results in waste, higher costs and sustainability problems.
W2R Drone Projects is looking for partners who want to collaborate on solutions to adapt existing spraying systems; together updating and making these systems compatible on the supplied data so that growers can work more effectively and efficiently. But it also offers an opportunity to comply with (future) legislation on the use of these resources.
Although new, advanced spraying systems are available, they are often (too) expensive. Therefore, W2R Drone Projects focuses on the affordable retrofitting of existing systems. We invite potential partners to explore, together with us, how we can together realize both the technical and economic feasibility of this (a feasibility study); together striving for innovative, sustainable and cost-effective solutions for the agriculture of the future.
