The European Future Tech Challenge connects young people and organizations to work together on future tech innovations. After all, technological developments such as digitization and automation are the order of the day. The potential consequences are huge. For society in general and for the economy in particular.
This (economic) transition is therefore also described as the '4th industrial revolution'; where companies, employees and governments will have to respond to technologies such as Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, Blockchain, Robotics, Domotics, Artificial Intelligence and Augmented/ Virtual Reality. The European Future Tech Challenge (EFTC) stimulates innovation and valorization on these themes.
What will we do
During the EFTC we will make entrepreneurs aware of the opportunities that future technologies offer, and then translate them into concrete business cases. By means of guest lectures, workshops and an interactive online platform, the EFTC brings young people from secondary and higher education together with companies and organizations to think about future tech challenges. With their creativity and out-of-the-box thinking, this 'digital native' generation can come up with creative solutions.
The European Future Tech Challenge is made up of different phases:
- Guest lectures introducing business cases from the business world
- Workshops (design, prototyping, business model & pitch)
- Workshops
- Extract business cases in co-creation with partner companies
- Grand Final with expert jury
- From innovation to realization: follow-up process in which teams with partner companies develop concepts
